So it’s getting close to summer time. Or maybe you’re going on a long trip (lucky). Either way you need to store your lights. It’s important that you take good care of your lights to ensure their longevity.

Unlike your smartphone, your light doesn’t normally get used/charged everyday. However, the lithium battery is practically the same. Lithium batteries need to have some charge in them and cannot be left “dead” for long periods of time.

When you are putting your battery to bed you need to make sure it has at least 40% charge otherwise it could go into “sleep mode”. This means it will not maintain the charge when you use it in the future. Once your battery is in sleep mode there is no way to “wake it up” and get it back to it’s former functionality.
